A navigation tool built in Kenya is using AI to help people with visual impairment understand what lies ahead as they move through Nairobi.

‘Sightra’ runs as a phone based web app, detecting cars, trees, furniture and other obstacles in real time and sending spoken descriptions through an earpiece.
