French prosecutors requested a seven-year prison sentence and a fine of appoximately $325,000 usd for former President Nicolas Sarkozy on thursday, stemming from allegations that his 2007 presidential campaign was unlawfully funded by the government of former Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi.
