After speaking with his Egyptian counterpart, Russia’s foreign minister accused the US of blocking UN Security Council resolutions on a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Sergey Lavrov also described the US-sponsored resolution endorsing a ceasefire plan as ‘an empty piece of paper’.
